Why CRUSH FC?

Recently, a parent asked how to reply when someone inquires, “What is CRUSH FC?” CRUSH FC is a club that aims to approach youth sports in a unique way. Our focus extends beyond mere scoreboard victories; we are dedicated to investing in the lives of our players and their families.

Our Aspirations

We strive to encourage our players to:

Be their best selves
Embrace fearlessness and courage
Enjoy laughter and fun with both old and new friends
Show hospitality to everyone placed in their path—teammates, coaches, referees, and opponents alike

We believe that competition can be approached differently, showcasing exceptional sportsmanship and a strong competitive spirit. Our players can hold their heads high, knowing they gave their all, regardless of the outcome. We emphasize that winning or losing does not define their identity or worth.

Respecting All Roles

We promote treating referees—who are God’s governing authority on the field—with respect and dignity. Our coaches, who are dedicated, caring, and servant-hearted volunteers, also deserve respect for their desire to make a meaningful impact on your child's life.

The Birth of “CRUSH”

The term “CRUSH” first came to me in 2019 while coaching a middle school team. I noticed that the boys were fearful, nervous, and anxious about facing a major rival. Despite their preparation and training, their confidence was lacking. Inspired by God, I encouraged them with the phrase, “Let’s Go Crush This, Boys! You can do this!”

In that moment, the boys began to stand taller, smile more, and believe in themselves and their hard work. Not only did they win that game, but they also regained their confidence, which became a turning point for the rest of the season.

When the opportunity arose to rebrand the club, God once again impressed upon my heart the word “CRUSH.”It encapsulates our philosophy of empowering young athletes to overcome challenges, both on and off the field. CRUSH is more than just a name; it's a mindset of resilience, positivity, and strength that we hope to instill in each player.

Building Community and Character

CRUSH FC is committed to creating a supportive community where players and their families feel valued and connected. We believe that sports can be a powerful vehicle for teaching life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and perseverance. Our programs are designed to nurture these qualities while fostering a love for the game.

Our coaches and staff work tirelessly to create an environment where players can thrive. We celebrate each individual's achievements and encourage personal growth, making sure that every player feels like an integral part of the CRUSH family.

Fall Flag Football Registration is in Full Swing!

Don't forget to register!

Fall Flag Football will be here before you know it, so don’t miss out on the action! Registration is well underway, and spots are filling up fast as excitement builds for another thrilling season. If you haven’t signed up yet, now is the perfect time to secure your place on the field. Keep in mind that a late registration fee will go into effect on September 14, so be sure to register before then to avoid any additional costs and ensure you’re part of the fun!

Key Season Details:

Team Formations will begin in September
Teams will be shared in early October
Practices will begin the third or fourth week of October - these practices will take place Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday at Pelham Road Baptist Church in October and early November, as the Mitchell Road Field will be closed due to the overseeding program.
Games will begin mid-November at the Mitchell Road Field under the lights (5:15 PM to 8:15 PM)
Practice nights are determined by the coaches' schedules since they are volunteering to coach and lead our teams.
Each season we have teams play 6 games (unless weather gets the best of us, but we have so far been able to get 6 games for our teams).
We are an NFL Flag Affiliate.
New Parent Meeting will be later in October.

We are so excited to open up Fall 2024 Flag Football Registration this upcoming August 1! This will be our 4th season of offering Flag Football! We will have both boys and girls divisions available to register.

What is the Mitchell Road Sports Club all about? We are first and foremost about "Community". We see our "Community" as one large family. Meet the Schuerman Family! What a special family indeed! They, like many of our families, sacrifice and serve in so many ways. I love this photo of them as it shows their personality, passion, and love for coaching and the girls lives they touch each and every weekend. They are a family full of life and zeal! We are so honored to have many families like the Schuerman' s that step up and shepherd the next generation well. We want to make an impact not only on the field but off the field as well. We want to raise up a generation of young players that are strong, confident, and willing to be courageous in leading their communities that God calls them to live and work within as adults.
