MRSC ACADEMY PROGRAM

Next Season - FALL 2025 - SPRING 2026

TRYOUTS IN EARLY MAY

Fall 2024-Spring 2025

THE BEGINNING

In the Spring 2023 season, we experimented with two age groups that participated in the CESA Club Junior Academy League. The experience we had as a club was a positive one where player growth happened and the desire to learn the game at a higher level was achieved. We have shared conversations with other Crush FC (MRSC) coaches and families since, and we were excited to expand our footprint of offering.

While we are thrilled to introduce this enhanced initiative, we want to emphasize our deep appreciation and dedication to the Recreational Program. The Recreational Program is, and will always be, a cornerstone of our club. We cherish what the Recreational Program provides for our families. Club Academy simply adds more choices for families to explore in their soccer journey at Crush FC (MRSC). We view both programs as fantastic chances to embrace youth sports "A Better Way."

CLUB PROGRAM KEY ASPECTS

  • Strong three-pronged partnership - willing and able coaches, players, and families/parents to honor our purpose and mission to honor the Lord with all that we do, to teach and have fun, to pursue our best, and to share His light within a performance-based community on how to do higher level soccer "A Better Way".
  • Devotions, team huddles, and mentorship on and off the field are core virtues that are extremely important to us (and mean way more than scoreboard outcomes).
  • 1-year commitment (4-month Fall Season & 4-month Spring Season except for our 2011-2012 Girls Team - Fall only team)
  • 2X training sessions each week - 1.5 hours in length.
  • Player Commitment: Players are expected to be committed to attending practice, training at a higher level, and working at home to master the technical skills and fitness required.
  • Academy Games:  younger age teams competing in the CESA Junior Academy League will have games on Sunday afternoons (we do everything we can to protect worship time in the morning for our families).
  • Club Games: older age teams competing in the South Carolina Youth Soccer Association Open League can be any night of the week and are scheduled between Crush FC and other clubs.
  • Tournaments: 1 Local, In-Town Tournament each season and 1 In-Region (SC, NC, TN, GA) tournament.
  • Team Camp: Strongly encouraged attendance at the Crush FC pre-season team camp.
